The Beer Store is proud to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, the charity of choice for our union, UFCW Local 12R24. Their mission is to eliminate leukemia, lymphoma (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin) and myeloma by funding research and promoting public understanding of the these blood cancers.

The members of Local 12R24, their families and friends who were willing to donate their time and effort to the cause were the backbone of the tremendous effort. Combined with other initiatives, The Beer Store and UFCW Local 12R24's contributions raised over $1.6 million dollars.
 ABOUT THE EVENT
On the weekend of May 29 and 30, customers will be invited to donate all or a portion of their empty bottles or cash. 100% of the funds they contribute will go directly to the LLSC.
In 2009, we were proud to raise $830,007.68 to support the LLSC in its fight against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma!

VOLUNTEERS
We need volunteers at our retail locations across Ontario to assist in greeting customers and collecting their empties.
Volunteers are needed: Saturday, May 29 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 30 between
noon and 5 p.m.
Not an employee of The Beer Store? Anyone interested in helping this great cause is welcome to come out and volunteer! If you are interested in helping out, please contact us, indicating what days and times you'd be available, your community, and the location of The Beer Store nearest you.
